wall accents

What is a good accent wall color with red couches?

Me and my boyfriend are moving into an apartment and want to paint a wall an accent color but we are a little concerned that it will clash with his cherry red couches (which are really cool and i wouldn't want to change or cover). Our style is modern/contemporary/eclectic and we are leaning more towards a darker color. Any ideas or suggestions?

I think "vogue green" (# 0065) would look fabulous with the red couches.
