Flowers Wall

just that i recently got rid of the lil bit of grass outside my front door and all the flowers against wall and replaced with white stones and since that the amount of big spiders getting through my front door has dropped dramatically but it looks a bit bare outside with no plants does anyone no if all plants attract insects for spiders even Carex oshimensis what i think are just leaves, would i be better leaving it without plants at all if i dont want to attract spiders? thanks
